Think about this for a minute your told to kill a certain animal. Then your told to take the blood and put it over and on each side of the door. And if you don't then when the Lord passes over you will not be covered . This happened in Exodus 12. Now there were special instructions that came with this task, first the animal had to be a one year old male, no defects, sheep or goat. Then everybody at twilight had to slaughter the animals. Then where they ate the animal they had to smear the blood over the door post and on either side. and what they could not eat they had to burn, No leftovers for the next day. And then this, Be fully dressed, wear your sandals, and carry your walking stick. Oh ya and eat the meal with urgency. You know what your parents told you eat slow so you don't get sick, this was not the time for slowness. Now I personally am so glad that a lamb was slain for me. Yes Jesus Christ was that lamb, And He took all the things I worshipped, all the false gods that had taken place in my life and in one chosen path died for me. Took all the junk I had collected and said "It is finished" death no longer had a hold on me when I received that amazing gift from the Lord by asking Him to be my Savior. I am so glad the Lord doesn't demand from me to jump through what the Israelites had to go through. Today it is all so different, today it boils down to this. Will you make the choice to ask Jesus into your heart as your savior. When you do death will pass over you and you will receive eternal life. There is Hope in Christ that you will never be alone ever. Why when Christ went to be with the Father He left the comforter here with us. It the Holy Spirit. And "He will never leave you or forsake you" You are never alone just call my name or how about this verse James 4:2 we have not because we ask not. He knows what we need but still wants to hear from us, why, It please Him. So today be glad because there is a savior that loves you and wants to hear from you.
